A the most common and prominent symptom is obstructed nasal breathing, either from hypertrophy of membranes or nasal turbinate. The patient breathes with mouth open especially during the sleep. The secretions drop into the naso-pharynx and are removed by frequent hawking.

Complications

The chronic catarrh is dangerous in that it makes possible and invariably leads on to other diseases of the nose, throat, ears, lungs or most any other part of the body, and for this reason must be taken care of at the earliest.

Recurrent ear infections
Weak vision
Memory weakness
Premature gray hair

Homeopathic treatment

Is recommended in chronic catarrh to heal the naso-pharynx mucosa as well increasing the immunity against the recurring infections. Fish oil is very beneficial to heat up the upper respiratory tract, if taken along with homeopathic treatment it will reduce the treatment period.
